I had forgotten that I'd done that!
Nov. 17th, 2012 06:21 pmMy coworker was delighted to discover that I had named a character in the story with his name: Mr. Hall, who like my coworker, has eyesight that is not as good as it once was. This is particularly amusing to him because our boss was similarly referenced in Sherman Alexie's recent as story collection.
Of course, I had completely forgotten that he would read the story, or even that I'd done it. After all, I had no assurance that my story was going to be published.
Note to self, think about that in future works.
