I got this email today from Meetup

A founder sent out an all-user email today. If you are signed up with Meetup, you will have seen this. If not, I think it's pretty awesome, enough to post here. (Meetup is a service where you can create a group and it gets mosted to the site. You get strangers meeting for activities and interests, and the person who creates the group sets group size, meeting place, etc.)
