She & Her Cat
Dec. 15th, 2010 05:18 pmI own this. Today it occurred to me that someone might have put it up on YouTube. If you are a cat fan and like beautiful, poetic, subtitled 5-minute films, this is a must-see for you.
It makes me sentimental like few things do. I love the way you only hear the narrator's words, except for once, but the other character's voices come through written, silent film style. IMDB nor Wikipedia say anything about how the film is illustrated with photographic style backgrounds (inanimate things like the apartment interior and the field). On the disc, the making-of compares some of the scenes. It's just another layer of awesome.
"She, who wore the scent of snow, and Her slender, cold fingertips,
the sound of the black clouds streaming by far in the upper sky,
Her soul, and my feelings, and our room."
