Snow Day project!
Dec. 18th, 2008 09:33 pmWow! Sleeping in, reading, getting laundry done, cooking... and making jewelry. This is a "scrap" project. I find it entertaining to see what I can make out of whatever is loose/unfinished/failed in my bead bag. I managed to find two gold seed beads, barely enough matt green seed beads, and a gold fill fishhook clasp to bring together an assortment of red Czech beads (culled from the ongoing "red orange" necklace), some green wire links I made ages ago (abandoned project), and a badly designed bracelet (gift). Nymo thread is always in my bag. The jump rings were unexpected.
A couple of bits were put aside for matching earrings, but there weren't any earring findings in the bead bag, so I must track those down. Other than those, I had exactly as much beadness to get the choker length.
An especially rewarding project because this is my first act of beading since I came back from CA.
That's my neck making a rather unappealing background. You can see it on silk in the other Flickr photo.
