Eat, Drink, and.
Jan. 2nd, 2007 03:24 pmThe transition of the calendar year is always about food, at my place.
queenpasiphae noticed something disturbing about our Pocky Mini. According to the ingredients list, it may contain fish. Mackerel or salmon, specifically. Um?
( Photo evidence cut to spare your flist )
But with a cherry-pear-almond tart from the new bakery (who also provided our bread), Ugli fruit, various cookies, an orange salad with lime and chili (an unexpected theme this time), and three dips, we didn't need to eat the pocky. Further description of the dips, 1 hot and 2 cold, are under the cuts below. They are informal recipes, nothing fancy, but I think we agreed that they all came out tasty. (And vegetarian, but no where near low cal.)
( English Cucumber, Sweet Peppers, & Ranch )
( Spinach & Artichoke )
( Carmelized onion and baby cheddar )
This morning I contemplated the benefits of fasting. And of celebacy, if you must know.
I had pizza for lunch. Ha!
As for a review of my 2006... there's nothing back that way. But to be fair, I'm going to think of some things that were good things. I tried to come up with a list of twelve things... ran dry at ten. I know that's not right. So I'm going to sit down tonight and find some.
