Modest Mouse, Garbage, Billy Joel
May. 27th, 2006 11:27 amL has been reading manga. Something she pointed out to me is that it seems to be a desireable thing to have "influences" for a character, that the character has personality traits of or is in the art style of other known characters. Noh theater is like that, isn't it? Archetypes, rather than characters as we know them in a western way. Which made me rethink my criticism of CLAMP for the similarities of their characters from one series to another.
In other news, even though (because?) I was listening to Modest Mouse and Garbage before bed last night, I woke up with Billy Joel's "Always a Woman" in my head. This song used to irk me, a lot, but I still know all the words... . I'm trying to decide if it fits Yuuko or not.
In yet other news, Adagio's cream tea is good.
