A Friday Night
I want to go out tonight. I didn't want to decide, earlier, didn't want to make plans for some generic, spendthrift event. After hours of both of us online, now I want to go out. I'd even wear heels, if asked. He is back online and this is too much like other Friday nights I've known with other boyfriends.
As I was walking home, someone greeted me with "Hello, Beautiful!" It was so nice, I said hi back cheerfully, and we had a 30 second chat. She was not attractive, maybe not someone who gets a good response from hello beautiful, usually. I'd love to be having a drink with her right now. Oh, for something in a fancy glass and being the focus of someone's attention.
Yes, I'm tired. It could be a temporary state.
