How much will it hurt?
So, my best friend will be in town starting tomorrow. This makes me immensely happy, because I can't imagine wanting to do anything more than spend time with her... or can I? I'm wondering how much I'm going to be jonesing for online time. Sure, since I also have days off of work, I'll have a few minutes in the mornings before we meet up, or at night, but for me, that's limited!
How much is it going to hurt?
Other than that, though, I'm wondering what we should do. Usually, she's the planner, and on trips together she has a list and I just voice my opinion (it's great). This time, it's all left to the inspiration of the moment. Pike Place Market will be a stop, of course, and I'll get to show her Rose's Chocolates in Post Alley... my mouth waters, just to think about it. We'll do dim sum at Jumbo's on Raineer (just went there today -- excellent), and probably lunch at Elliot Bay Brewery in W.Seattle, West 5 for drinks because it's cute and close to home. And I plan to take her to volunteer park for the greenhouses, and to the Soundgarden (so I hope there's some wind this week).
What else? She's been here a few times before already. Also, as a teacher, she's almost as poor as I am. {laughs} If we leave the city, I was thinking of maybe going out to Bainbridge, which looked pretty posh on my way through, and would mean a ferry trip (walk-on, with Flexcar on the other shore), which could be fun. Suggestions, ye Seattlites? Place to go, places to eat?
