butterflydreaming: "Cris", in blocks with a blinking cat (butterflyeye)

I... I...I...

I actually yelled out loud, which earned me a glare from my cat, when I saw this post on [livejournal.com profile] sfandf_writers just now.

Octavia Butler! Connie Willis! And it's in Seattle!

But the $$$. Sure, that's what credit cards are for, but -- yipes. So how serious is this writing thing for me?

[Poll #350665]

Must eat lunch, then do the NaNo EotD, which is "fire". Mrffl. Only 5 minutes?

I think going to the week-long program (Viable Paradise, I think?) would be the best of both worlds. Cause you should definitely go for a program and that program wouldn't break you financially.

Workshop location

A serious consideration is the location. I already live in Seattle, so lodging would not be an added cost. Viable Paradise, on the other hand, is at Martha's Vineyard, which would include travel costs as well.

In either case, I'd have to write something to meet the submission requirements.

My main concern is that now (the summer of 2005, that is) is not the time for me, that I need more time on the pavement, so to speak, first.
