butterflydreaming: "Cris", in blocks with a blinking cat (Default)
Once upon a time
When I was a butterfly
I dreamed of chaos

I gave up my wings
Or, really, my hope of them
I dreamed of changes

Both water and fire
I dream of pretty things now
Like friendship and love

Cocktails and good food
And kindness and honesty
Books for me to read

Singing if I wish
Creating beauty in beads
And writing haiku

With or without wings
No one takes the sky from me
Or my waiting smile

KP bought me vermillion tipped tulips. B bought me a bouquet of daffodils in 3 colors, flame colored tulips, and wildflowers. I've gotten a slew of birthday wishes. And lunch is on the way, Tat's, a special treat of gustatory wickedness.

Happy hour yesterday meant sushi (nom*nom*nom) and hanging out with [livejournal.com profile] ironymaiden, [livejournal.com profile] joyful_storm, and [livejournal.com profile] spazzychic. 'Chic didn't have to run off to sing, so we were able to chat all the way up to Greenwood, where I was heading for the [livejournal.com profile] seattlepoly meet-up. I'm meet-up girl lately, I was explaining to her yesterday.

The meet-up was quite fun. I even got to explain "leftover bimbo". There was no knitting, but there were books balanced on heads, and I came home with one more than I brought with me. It's a long way to go from W.Seattle, but I not only got a ride home, I got the first of birthday kisses! (It better be the first of several. What's the emoticon for fake-cranky scowl?)

I'm less bubble headed than typically I am on April 11th each year. That's good. It's still sacrament day and important that I'm in a sound state of mind.
