This is a twist on the Letter Meme. Instead of coming up with ten items for a certain letter, you come up with five song titles for a certain letter and explain why you picked them. If interested then leave a comment. I'll give you a letter. You post this blurb in your journal along with your list.
"Mr. Zebra" by Tori Amos was the first one that popped into my head.
"Ziggy Stardust", the Bauhaus cover of Bowie's song. I have both on CD. I've never been able to decide if I actually like Bauhaus.
"ZYX" by They Might Be Giants... which does not contain any Z words if I remember right. And is one they performed at the free Easy Street show, if I remember right. My neice owns this, courtesy of her Aunt Cristy.
"Channel Z" by the B-52's, because I grew up in the time of New Wave. I like "Roam" better.
"Poem for Byzantium", by Delirium, was the song that made me buy Poem. I would like to hear more use of male vocalists, but I do love this song. It has a jaunty, euphoric quality.
