GB the internet, meeting friends edition
The last few years, I've been reconnecting in my fandom with someone I first met online circa 2008. We're are both still caught in the inescapable vortex of our fave. Not really a bad thing. Friend Syri is in the PNW for a couple of weeks to be with their girlfriend, so I win. We've met in person for the first time!
I'm so glad they're in town longer than a weekend. We got to spend the last afternoons being horrible anime trash together; it's been magical. I've conveyed the awareness of filk. We shared a pizza and walked all over Everett. S, Syri's goddess of a gf, couldn't take vacation time, so it worked out well so that I wasn't stealing time. (S & I get along fabulously, btw.) We all went to AFK Wednesday night. The service & food there were very good, above average. The bathroom is frightening.
